Nuri is a archaeological site located on the Eastern side of the Nile, 10 km from Jebel Barkal. There are many pyramids among which there is also the one of the great Taharqa.
King Taharqa (690-664 bC) took the borders of his empire to the edge of Libya and Palestine. He was the founder of the newest Necropolis of Nuri located on the eastern side of the Nile River.
