    Siwa is a hidden treasure tucked away in Egypt's Western Desert where people go to experience silence and an unknown world. This special oasis, located inside a natural depression, is quite far from the travel norms.

    The journey by road requires one to cover about 750 km and takes approximately nine to ten hours from Cairo to reach Siwa. It can be extremely grueling given that there are no regular flights to Siwa due to the small airport which is located 40 kilometers away from it.

    Our exclusive Siwa Oasis trips, which are part of our luxury Egypt vacation packages, are solved for you by our best operators which take place only once every year. We offer a chartered flight that only takes 1.5 hours so that you will not need all that time driving but can instead fly just once a year to visit Siwa.

    This way, you get more time exploring the oasis and less time moving around.

    Tour Package Information

    • Local English-speaking Egyptologist guide provided throughout your journey in Egypt, including Cairo and Siwa.
    • Trip starts and ends in Cairo.
    • Minimum of two travelers required to conduct the tour.
    • Guides are English-speaking. For other languages, inform us in advance (additional fees apply).
    • Private modern vehicles provided for all airport transfers.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 / Arrival in Cairo

    • Arrive in Cairo, your Tour Coordinator will meet & assist you at Cairo International Airport. He will help you with the arrival procedures and then will escort you to your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle. At the hotel, your tour coordinator will help you with the check-in. He will give you a copy of your itinerary including all the necessary contact numbers and timings for all departures and movements.

    Day 2 / Cairo: Egyptian Museum & Islamic Cairo

    • Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then your Tour Coordinator will introduce you to your Egyptologist who will accompany you during your Full day tour to
    • The Egyptian Museum & Islamic Cairo including Citadel of Saladin, Sultan Hassan Mosque & Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
    • Lunch at the Authentic Naguib Mahfouz restaurant.
    • Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.

    Day 3 / Cairo: Pyramids Of Giza, Memphis & Saqqara

    • Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then your Egyptologist will accompany you during your Full day tour to The Pyramids Of Giza & The Pyramid of Sakkara & Memphis.
    • Lunch at the Authentic Mena House Hotel.
    • Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.
    • Meals Included: Breakfast & Lunch.

    Day 4 / Fly to Siwa / Siwa

    • Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo.
    • After check-out, meet your tour coordinator for a transfer to Cairo Domestic Airport. Your coordinator will assist with check-in for your flight to Siwa.
    • Upon arrival at Siwa Military Airport, your coordinator will greet you and assist with the transfer to Adrere Amellal Eco-Lodge in a 4x4 vehicle (approximately 40 km from the airport).
    • Check-in at the lodge, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Siwa Oasis.
    • Meals Included: Breakfast & Dinner.

    Day 5 / Siwa Oasis: Mountain of the Dead, Oracle Temple, Cleopatra Bath

    • Breakfast at your Lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Egyptologist will accompany you during your tour to Mountain of the Dead that honeycombs the conical hill. These tombs date to the late Pharaonic times and were reused for Roman burials. Afterwards, You will visit Cleopatra Bath which is one of the many oasis springs of Siwa and then visit the Oracle Temple.
    • Lunch at your Lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Dinner & Overnight at your Lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

    Day 6 / Siwa Oasis: Old Shali, Salt Lakes

    • Breakfast at your lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Free morning at Leisure.
    • Lunch at your Lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Your Egyptologist will accompany you during your tour to Old City of Shali with its mud ruins and spectacular views of the oasis. This will be followed by a visit to the Salt Lakes in Siwa where you will have the chance to enjoy swimming in these salty lakes.
    • Dinner & Overnight at Your Lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

    Day 7 / Siwa Oasis: Safari Tour

    • Breakfast at your lodge in Siwa Oasis.
    • Free morning at leisure.

    • Discover the various depths of the Great Sand Sea. 4X4 vehicles will drive you to the desert for a half day safari where you can see the petrified forests, fossilized seashells. Cruise on the top of curved sand dunes with a chance to swim in cold, warm and hot lakes and springs.

    Day 8 / Fly to Cairo / Cairo

    • Your tour coordinator will meet & assist you at Cairo Domestic Airport. Then he will escort you to your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle and will help you with the check-in at your hotel.

    Day 9 / Fly Back Home

    Adrere Amellal Desert Eco Lodge in Siwa

    This legendary Desert Eco Lodge is considered one of the best Eco-lodges all over the world and is a destination for all the guests seeking tranquility. This Lodge is located at the foot of the "White Mountain" and it is made of earth buildings that blend naturally into the landscape. Adrère Amellal has been built with indigenous material using traditional Siwan building techniques and styles which have a minimal impact on the environment. Kershef, a mixture of sun-dried salt rock mixed with clay, is used for wall building. This material maintains indoor temperatures at moderate levels. Ceilings are made of palm beams, while doors, windows and fixtures are made of olive wood from annual tree trimmings. Furnishings are simple, yet of the highest quality, drawing exclusively on local materials and designs.Each one of its hand-built 43 rooms is unique, combining distinction and authenticity. All the furniture and crafts pay tribute to nature and to talented local artisanship. With no electricity, the rooms are softly lit with a dozen beeswax candles and the starry sky. Most of the mainly organic food is grown in the grounds or sourced locally, so vegetables and fruit are bursting with flavor.

    Payment Policy

    • Reservations should be made as early as possible to book your selected trip, confirmation is subject to availability. Once we confirm the availability for your selected trip, a deposit of 30 % should be received by Credit Card, Wire Transfer or Western Union to secure the space
    • The remaining amount (70% of the total amount due) should be paid 60 days prior to the trip date otherwise space will be released
    • For trips booked less than 60 days prior to the trip date, full payment should be received to secure the space
    • During the Christmas and New Year holidays, full payment should be received to secure the space

    Cancellation Policy

    • Cancellation must be notified in written format (by email)
    • In case of cancellation within 60 days prior to arrival date, the guest will be charged 30% from the package rate.
    • In case of cancellation within 59 days prior to arrival date the guest will be charged 100% from the package rate.
