    Explore Aswan's Major Attractions

    Your tour begins at Aswan Dam which is a rock fill dam constructed across the Nile River during 1960-1970. This engineering structure was built for flood management of the Nile, water supply for irrigation purposes, and electricity production. 

    Your tour guide will then take you through the new High Dam and explain how it has revolutionized Egypt's economy and, most importantly, how the country manages the Nile's water resources.

    Next, visit Unfinished Obelisk, which offers a glimpse into the ancient Egyptians' carving methods. This massive pillar, if completed, would have been 30% larger than any other obelisk in ancient Egypt.

    It was left incomplete because cracks were noticed to have formed on the rock, giving archaeologists an opportunity to learn how the ancient Egyptians were carving their giant pillars.

    Visiting Philae Temple for a Great Time

    After visiting the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, take a motorboat ride to Philae Temple as part of your Aswan day trip. Originally situated on Philae Island, the temple complex was moved in a very meticulous and systematic manner to the island of Agilkia.

    This process was undertaken by the UNESCO Nubia Campaign in order to preserve the temples before the construction of Aswan High Dam flooded the original area. Philae Temple is one of the most famous temples in Egypt and is dedicated to the goddess Isis.

    At the end of the day, you will be driven back to your Aswan hotel with new knowledge and impressions of the mysterious and beautiful Egyptian history.

    • Drive: In a modern air conditioned car.
    • Visit: Aswan High Dam, then head to the Unfinished Obelisk.
    • Boat Transfer: Head to the dock and take a motorboat to Philae Temple.
    • Return: Drive back to Aswan and transfer to your hotel or Nile Cruise.

    • If your tour includes airfare then an extra charge for child rate may apply

    Payment Policy

    • Reservations should be made as early as possible to book your selected trip, confirmation is subject to availability. Once we confirm the availability for your selected trip, a deposit of 30 % should be received by Credit Card, Wire Transfer or Western Union to secure the space
    • The remaining amount (70% of the total amount due) should be paid 60 days prior to the trip date otherwise space will be released
    • For trips booked less than 60 days prior to the trip date, full payment should be received to secure the space
    • During the Christmas and New Year holidays, full payment should be received to secure the space

    Cancellation Policy

    • Cancellation must be notified in written format (by email)
    • In case of cancellation within 60 days prior to arrival date, the guest will be charged 30% from the package rate.
    • In case of cancellation within 59 days prior to arrival date the guest will be charged 100% from the package rate.
